It is Officially Fall & Fibromyalgia is a CNS Disease
There are a few weeks until the next meeting. Here in Ohio it is officially Fall which means the weather will be getting cold, which is not good for Fibromyalgia.
Today's thought about Fibromyalgia is: Yes there has been progress, but I still feel that I have to explain and convince everybody what it is. No it is not what the doctor tells you, you have if they can not find anything wrong with you. It is a CNS disease, diagnosed by 12 out of 18 tender points and a collection of symptoms, and there are a lot of symptoms. In most cases your x-rays and bloodwork will all be fine, but even if they are not fine, you can still have fibromyalgia, you may just have multiple conditions.
I will post when the next meeting is in a couple weeks or so. Even, if you can not attend the meetings you can check this blog, the facebook page, or the website. I will put more content on them one of these days.
